Jan Boswijk has been holding two retreats in Hungary every year for more than ten years. Jan, a Dutch psychologist-Buddhist teacher, received a “lantern” in 2004 from his master, Vietnamese Zen monk Thich Nhat Hanh, a teacher at the 42nd generation of Lam Te Dhyana School, who has many thousands of followers worldwide. Thus, Jan became a dharma teacher in this tradition, just like Hilly Bol in 2016. Hilly has been leading retreats in the Netherlands with Jan for decades, practicing Buddhism, and volunteering in hospitals.
In Jan's retreats we can get closer to the traditions, teachings, and ceremonies of this tradition. It is a trend in Zen Buddhism that is a gentle way of turning inward, the everyday application of meditation in our lives, and an effective blend of Buddhist and Western psychology.
The date of the retreat is August 2 - August 7, 2022, at the Three Treasures Valley. Quiet, guided, walking meditations alternate during the five days of retreat.
There will be mostly dharma teachings in the mornings and there will be an opportunity to ask our questions as well. Sharing experiences heard and experienced in smaller groups is also part of the program.

July 15 is the application and advance payment deadline. The remaining part of the participation fee can be arranged in person at the beginning of the retreat.
The total participation fee of the retreat is HUF 72,000, six days for five nights. By choosing a tent, the costs are HUF 57,000. (If you are able to do so, please contribute a few thousand forints to the retreat participants who have difficulties in paying the full amount of the retreat.)
